WIP Wednesday, Yarn Along edition

Happy Wednesday!

Now that I’m back in the swing of things, I hope that the fact that my largest crochet project right now is Secret and a Surprise doesn’t cramp my style when it comes to participating in Yarn Along. I’ve got a couple other things going on right now that I can talk about, and I hope I can keep that up.

The car seat blanket for my friend who’s due in May is coming along. Still no pictures of that because it is rows of hdc forever & super boring to look at.

I finished most of my boyfriend’s hat over Christmas, and he tried it on then. It seemed huge, but it fits his oversized noggin fairly perfectly. He’s also requested a ribbed brim that he can fold up, so that’s what I’m working on now. I just hdc in the opposite side of the foundation chain all the way around the edge of the hat, then use those hdc as the base for my fpdc, bpdc alternating around to create the ribbing. I’d say I’m about halfway through on the ribbing, then I’m thinking I’m gonna try edging it all with reverse single crochet. Has anyone ever tried this?
