WIP Wednesday, Yarn Along edition

Hey y’all! I’ve still been plugging away on my baby sweater for Yarnworks, little by little. The body’s all done, and I’ve started on the first sleeve. I remember from the first time I made this sweater, it was a bit of a chore to set the sleeves in, so I’ll see how well it goes this time around.

As far as reading goes, you can see my stack of books in the upper corner… I’m developing a bit of a “problem.” I started about a month ago reading 1Q84, and I’m really enjoying it. It’s a bit odd, but in a really fascinating way. And then March 4th happened and Words of Radiance came out. I’ve been waiting for this book since I finished up Stormlight 1 (aka Way of Kings) 4 years ago, so of course I drop whatever I’m reading & pick that up immediately. Two rather hefty books in the queue.

I’m convinced that the library knows when the most inopportune moment for me is, and then makes my next wait list book available. So of course today, The Cuckoo’s Calling becomes available, and the countdown is on for me to finish before my 2 weeks are up. Sorry Sanderson, now I have to put you on hold. Whew. A lot of (fun) reading ahead of me. 🙂

I’ve been pretty mum on this project, because it’s a future present, but here’s a sneak peek. You tell it’s in the blocking stage from this view, but what you can’t see is that it’s literally taking over my entire “dining room.” It’s huge. And gorgeous. I’m so excited about gifting it 🙂
